【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheconsolidateddrainedshearstrengthofasoilmaterialindirectshear.Thetestisperformedbydeformingaspecimenatacontrolledstrainrateonornearasingleshearplanedeterminedbytheconfigurationoftheapparatus.Generally,threeormorespecimensaretested,eachunderadifferentnormalload,todeterminetheeffectsuponshearresistanceanddisplacement,andstrengthpropertiessuchasMohrstrengthenvelopes.1.2Shearstressesanddisplacementsarenonuniformlydistributedwithinthespecimen.Anappropriateheightcannotbedefinedforcalculationofshearstrains.Therefore,stress-strainrelationshipsoranyassociatedquantitysuchasmodulus,cannotbedeterminedfromthistest.1.3Thedeterminationofstrengthenvelopesandthedevelopmentofcriteriatointerpretandevaluatetestresultsarelefttotheengineerorofficerequestingthetest.1.4Theresultsofthetestmaybeaffectedbythepresenceofsoilorrockparticles,orboth,(seeSection7).1.5Testconditionsincludingnormalstressandmoistureenvironmentareselectedwhichrepresentthefieldconditionsbeinginvestigated.Therateofshearingshouldbeslowenoughtoensuredrainedconditions.1.6Theremaybeinstanceswhenthegapbetweentheplatesshouldbeincreasedtoaccommodatesandsizesgreaterthanthespecifiedgap.Presentlythereisinsufficientinformationavailableforspecifyinggapdimensionbasedonparticlesizedistribution.1.7Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.WithinthistestmethodtheSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyofeachother.1.8AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.8.1Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.9Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
