【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesanapproachandmethodologyforconductingfieldimmersiontestingofgeosyntheticsusedintheconstructionoflinersinreservoirs,ponds,impoundments,orlandfillsforcontainingliquidsandsolids.ThispracticeshouldbeperformedinaccordancetoandinconjunctionwithD5322forassessingchemicalresistanceunderbothlaboratoryandfieldconditions.Thespecificationofproceduresinthispracticeisintendedtoserveasaguideforthosewishingtocompareorinvestigatethechemicalresistanceofgeosyntheticsunderactualfieldconditions.1.1Thispracticedescribesanapproachandmethodologyforimmersiontestingofgeosynthetics(forexample,geomembranesusedforlandfillliner).1.2Thispracticedoesnotprovidefordefinitionofthetestingtobeperformedonthegeosyntheticsamplesforfieldimmersion.Thispracticedoesnotaddressthedeterminationofresistanceofthegeosynthetictotheliquidinwhichitisimmersed.TheuserofthispracticeisreferredtotheappropriateStandardGuideforTeststoevaluatethechemicalresistanceandfordefiningthetestingtobeperformedforeachofthegeosyntheticcomponentslistedin.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
